Michael L. Walker, CPM - Managing Partner

Michael Walker, CPM, is the immediate past President of the Apartment Association of Tarrant County, and has been in the management business since 1981. Michael has served in VP positions with Greystar Real Estate Partners, Capstone Management Services, Simpson Housing Group, and DRW Investments, with experience in every facet of managing real estate. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Apartment Association, and is a Delegate to the National Apartment Association. Michael obtained his Certified Property Manager designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1996. Michael was responsible for more than 20,000 units through the South and Southeast US with Capstone, with the majority of the units designated as Low Income Assisted, Section 8 vouchers, and Project-based Section 8 units. Michael has also been responsible for a portfolio of 15,000 units in the Southeast United States, as well as an 18,000-unit portfolio in the Southwestern United States with Simpson Housing. Michael has served as an expert witness in several litigation cases, and has served as Receiver for several courts involving distressed assets.

Pat M. Holder, CPM - Managing Partner

Pat Holder, CPM, began his apartment management career in 1978 as a district manager and was President of Trammell Crow’s Brentwood Properties by 1988. Pat headed up Lexford Properties in 1988, starting with 3,000 units and selling to Equity Residential in 1996, with more than 35,000 units under management.

After the sale of Lexford in 1998, Pat has been much more "hands-on" at the property level, serving as a Regional Manager at Camden, and a Regional VP at Capstone, where he met Michael Walker, his partner at Walker Holder Residential.

Pat Holder obtained his Certified Property Manager designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1985, and has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Texas since 1988.

Sonya Manthe, CAPS - Regional Property Supervisor

Sonya started her career in the multi-family property management industry in 1984 and has spent more than 15 years holding multi-property supervisory, regional training and LIHTC compliance specialist positions in California, Arkansas and Texas markets. She oversees the operations of each community with an acute attention to detail combined with an overall "big picture emphasis" in order to encourage consistent productivity and profitability for clients.

Sonya began working with Walker Holder Residential Managing Partner; Patrick Holder in the mid 1980's and held various positions with Brentwood Properties and Lexford Property Management. In 1994, she took on the role of independent business entrepreneur, establishing and operating 2 successful food service businesses in Northern California. Sonya returned back to property management in 2003 spending 9 years associated with Myan Management Group before joining the Walker Holder Residential team.

Sonya presently oversees communities in West Texas and Arkansas. Her extensive experience consists of affordable housing, receiverships, foreclosures and stabilized communities ranging in condition from distressed to new construction. She holds the Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) credential.

Veanessa Honeycutt - Regional Property Supervisor

Veanessa joined Walker Holder Residential in 2011 and has enjoyed growing within the multifamily industry since 1984. She has held several positions beginning with Leasing Consultant to District Manager for The Michelson Organization and Nolan Real Estate Services and brings extensive experience in multifamily renovations, repositioning of distressed assets and exceptional financial oversite. She obtained her Certified Property Supervisor (CAPS) and Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designations through the Institute of Real Estate Management and was named 2012 Property Manager of the Year by Tarrant County Apartment Association.

Veanessa currently oversees 7 communities in Texas and Louisiana ranging from stabilized assets to multi-million dollar community renovations.
